 Comments
I wasn't sure about what I was going to do with all the comments people left about the compo, so I just posted them all here. Thanks for all the kind words, people!

" lovely. mmm. " / icabod

" Plenty of different platforms, which means downloading emulators for all systems you don't have the hardware for almost creates its own MESS collection (although MESS itself I never got to operate)... " / Anders Carlsson [Zapac]

" Cool compo. " / Alwyz/UDI

" Some of the games did not work on my CCS64, and many were heavily bugged (e.g. sound bug: white noise). This should not happen. I will try to avoid any influence that those bugs could have on my votes, but you should be aware that those bugs could distort the competition's results. " / More.Gore Software

" I couldn't get the Oric or TI99/4A games to work. There were problems with some of the Commodore games as well. I am only well acquainted with Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum emulators, and this is the first time I have ever tried emulators for any other computer! I'm really impressed with a lot of the C64 entries in particular; I didn't realise that you could fit high quality graphics into 1K of code (although I know that the C64 possesses hardware sprites)! " / Nicholas Campbell

" It was really fun to enter something, ANYTHING, into competition. And I'm amazed by all the great stuff I've seen in 1k (and humbled). " / Ben Yates

" Great compo, keep up the good work " / webmaster@amstrad.dk

" good organization!
the forum is a must!
sorry, but can't test all the games in Linux: too nany times needed for the platform that i never see before.
bye " / Stefano Tognon (Ice)

" Nice to see, where i found my last Name ;-) " / Karl Lubber

" It would be nice to have a 2Kb compo next, like last year! " / 8bitcrapforever

" Thanks for a nice competition. It was obviously nicer to make these
games than to play them. More coders than voters ;) " / Karri

" hmm, maybe a voting scale of 1-5 would be easier than 1-10. And no more Snake games! :) And I'm too sick to play all the games & get all the emulators working in time :'-( " / White Flame

" good idea! it brings back the true spirit of bedroom-coding :) " / Exocet

" Go on C64!!!!!!!!!!
http://hokutoforce.c64.org " / The Overkiller / Hokuto Force

" Really great idea - there is nothing more to add, I think. :-) " / Magnate

" Great job!! Looking forward to competing next year! " / FuzzyLogic

" MV, thanks for running the compo this year! If the scores are published, could I not be identified? Take care! " / Shroom-A-Zoom

" I think deadline for voting was a bit short.
I tried to play most of the games, but havent finished them all :-( " / Sage

" Great competition. I will probably partecipare next year too, but with less games, probably. " / Paolo Ferraris

" MV ru13z0rZ! " / Wyn

" Hope this form works this time. As last year there's about a 10 to 1 ratio of C64 games to all others, so there's probably lots of C64 users who will only play and rate those, and possibly score the others low. Oh well.. Hope my games get some good scores. " / Richard Wilson

" I could not test the Ti99 games, didnt find a emulator. " / Glenn Rune Gallefoss

" nice organizing! (both of the site, and the zip)
My nonitor is fucking up (only shows the red color) so i can't play all games (aka. see what's going on). (My C128 is dead so i can't try em on that either) " / CyberBrain/NoName

" Thankyou to everyone involved, I enjoyed playing the games. " / Rene Gouws

" Damn, I wish I could have played more of the games :-(
No time left now... " / Vanja Utne (Mermaid)

" I'm so sorry I cannot test more games, I tried most C64, and Oric one, but I do not have time to download, install and try to understand how other emulators are working. " / Dbug (Mickael Pointier)

" It's been quite a well-run competition, nice job. :-) " / Russell Marks

" It was fun participating. Hope to see everyone & more next year. " / Memblers

" Feesh!
C64 Rulez0rs
+4 is l4m3
:) " / dW/Style

" Played 'em all again. Some of the entries were really inventive. The SIMON clone was pretty origional, and there were quite a few really interesting TETRIS entries. But of course YAR RULAR!
Thanks for devoting your time to running the compo. Hopefully next year will be even bigger. I know I plan to compete, and will even try to get entries in on more than one platform.
Thanks again, MV.

" Deadline for voters is in my opinion too early. My (and not only mine, I guess) time for that kind of amusement is strongly limited (study, work etc.). If I had f.e. two weeks or month more for playing games I can vote more or even all games.
But general idea of competition is great, so I hope you keep it next years. " / Miller64

" this is the shit!!!!!! " / vettareppa

" This is a great competition. I hope we have it for a 3rd year. Nice work on this years! " / Jason Robertson

" Your compo is a good idea. " / YERZMYEY/H-PRG

" A 2K or 4K limit would be great next year. " / Geir Straume

" My votng was tempered by my son, therefore no one received a ten ;).
Games were voted on interest of play; if your game didn't hold interest, they would not receive a half decent score.
Votes were limited to the Commodore class of computers in my area; so votes should not be used to compare with the spectrum, oric, etc. " / Axell

The main organizer of this competition was Per Olofsson, MagerValp@cling.gu.se.

Thanks to Nich Campbell for helping out with the Amstrad CPC, Matthew Westcott, who I stole most of the ideas and rules from, Vanja Utne for helping me with emulators for the Amiga and drawing prize graphics for me, and Robin Harbron for verifying the big game zip.
